This PV module
level rapid shutdown communicates via Power Line Communication (“PLC“),
supporting SunSpec™ Alliance protocol.
The solution can retrofit conventional modules and shuts them down fully meeting the requirements of NEC 2017.
Output voltage is limited to 1 V when “keep
alive“ signal is absent.
When the integrated
PLC receiver detects “keep alive“ signal from a SunSpec enabled inverter or
our special RSD-String Reader, modules are connected to the string. In
absence of this signal, the sensor automatically shuts the modules off. To
avoid deadlock, the system provides 1 volt regulated output.
Besides the RSD function, the sensor provides
full SunSniffer® functionality: precise measurements of
the module, and sophisticated analysis by artificial intelligence in
the Webportal.
